Our founder’s grandmother, a native Detroiter now in her 90s, has always been the heart and anchor of their family. As time passed, daily tasks that were once effortless became difficult, and caring for her became an opportunity to give back. One of those small but meaningful tasks was taking out her trash and recycling — moving bins to the curb the night before pickup, returning them after collection, and handling the growing piles of recycling from her care supplies.
